BITTER BLAST: Wind chill temps to drop below zero by Friday

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says wind chill values will be between 15 and 25 on Thursday.

WHAT'S NEW: After a mainly pleasant Groundhog Day, temps will be tumbling heading into Friday & Saturday. An arctic blast will move through, bringing very cold wind chill values.
WHAT'S NEXT: Temps basically double from Saturday to Sunday as Long Island thaws out with. A rain chance is around Sunday afternoon/evening but it doesn't look impressive.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says temperatures will be very cold for Friday and Saturday following a mild Thursday.
THURSDAY: Groundhog Day – Partly cloudy to mostly sunny with some breezy winds at times. Feels: low 30s. Highs: upper 30s to low 40s. Lows: mid to upper 20s.
FRIDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH (FOR BITTER BLAST) – Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with an arctic front moving through in the early morning hours. Temps will drop through the rest of the day with winds picking up.
Feels-Like Temps will go from 5 at noon to -7 at 8 p.m.
Feels-Like Temps will dip more overnight & will trend around -16 until 7 a.m. Saturday.
Highs: low to mid 30s. (this will occur very early Fri AM). Lows: mid 0s. (this will occur late FRI night)
SATURDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH (FOR BITTER BLAST) – Mainly sunny and COLD! Expect breezy winds through much of the day with temps slowly trying to warm up.
Feels-Like Temps will go from -10 at 8 a.m. to 7 at Noon and then slowly rise through the rest of the day and into the overnight hours into Sunday.
Highs: low to mid 20s. Low: upper 10s to low 20s.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with a very small rain chance for the afternoon/evening hours. Highs: mid 40s. Lows: mid 30s.
MONDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Highs: low to mid 40s. Lows: upper 20s.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies & mild. Highs: upper 40s to low 50s. Lows: mid 40s.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy with a small chance for rain & breezy winds. Highs: upper 40s. Lows: mid 30s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny & mild. Highs: upper 40s to low 50s. Lows: upper 30s.
FRIDAY: Scattered showers through the day. Highs: upper 40s to low 50s. Lows: mid 30s.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs: mid 40s. Lows: low 30s.
