LI students compete in spelling bees for chance at national competition

Long Island students showed off their spelling skills Thursday in Westbury.
Children broke off into different divisions based on their grades.
Second grader Saforra Khan won the "Worker Bees" division, which has students in first, second and third grade. She got all 20 of her words correct.
The winner of each session moves closer to a spot in the National Spelling Bee Competition.
