LI mother says goal of mask mandate is to keep children safe

Despite recent protests of the mask mandate, one mother tells News 12 that many in the Bethpage community agree with the school district's decision to keep enforcing masks.

Some Long Island mothers are speaking out in favor of the statewide mask mandate.
Despite recent protests of the mask mandate, one mother tells News 12 that many in the Bethpage community agree with the school district's decision to keep enforcing masks.
"It's not your choice when your choice impacts other children, what about our immunocompromised children?" says Jennifer Water-Delahunt. "We're a community, aren't we? Shouldn't we care about our other community members?"
She says the goal should be keeping children safe.
