A Roosevelt man who was arrested in Westchester after allegedly causing a disturbance in a casino was cleared of all charges Thursday and now says he may sue police.
Police accused Patrick O?Neal of being disorderly and disturbing other customers while gambling at Empire City Casino in Yonkers in 2007. O?Neal says he was just having a good time and that video of his arrest proved it.
O?Neal was found not guilty after a Westchester jury viewed the video, which showed the man being tackled by police. During the portion in which the prosecution said O?Neal was being disorderly, other patrons did not turn around.
?I told the truth, the truth is what set me free, and I'm really relieved,? O?Neal says.
A spokesperson from the Westchester County District Attorney?s Office tells News 12 Long Island it can?t comment on why the case was prosecuted because the files are sealed.
