Several Long Island high school basketball teams made their way Thursday to the state championship tournament.
The Kings Park High School girls basketball team received a celebratory sendoff after winning their first Long Island title on Sunday.
The team has not lost a game since the beginning of January and says they are very confident for this next challenge.
Their semifinal game is Friday at 2:15 p.m. The East Meadow High School and Walt Whitman High School girls basketball teams will also represent Long Island this weekend.
The Elmont High School boys basketball team will also be playing in their state semifinals.
The Elmont Fire Department held a special escort for the team early Thursday as the Spartans seek to win the state championship again.
Elmont will face Jamestown Friday at 2:15 p.m.
