Officials say a major lawsuit in the Medford drugstore massacre has been tossed out because the killer and his wife reportedly won't cooperate.

David Laffer and his wife Melinda Brady are behind bars for pharmacy killings that took the lives of four people.

The family of victim Jennifer Mejia, 17, was suing the doctors for prescribing pain medication for the addicted couple.

According to Newsday, the couple won't release their medical records, showing they were doctor shopping.

Officials say Laffer refuses, saying he doesn't understand "what benefit" it would be for him.
