Shoppers were out getting last-minute gifts for people on their list with less than 24 hours left until Christmas.

News 12 visited Walmart in Suffern and the Nanuet Town Centre to speak with those about shopping this year.

People were buying gift cards, clothing, tech, and more.

Adobe expects this to be the first holiday season (Nov. 1 - Dec. 31, 2025) to see online spending surpass a quarter trillion dollars, estimating a whopping $253.4 billion.

The National Retail Federation estimates this will be the first holiday season (Nov. 1 - Dec. 31, 2025)  to see overall spending topple $1 trillion.

Shoppers News 12 spoke with on Wednesday were mixed. Some said they spent more than they expected and others said they held to their budget.
