Officials in Lakeview dedicated a street to late FDNY firefighter and 9/11 first responder Victor Cantelmo III.
Cantelmo was one of the first to respond to the Sept. 11 attack and aided in the recovery process at Ground Zero.
He also served as an NYPD officer before joining the FDNY.
Cantelmo died in February 2023 due to a 9/11-related lung disease.
His parents say they are extremely proud that Sylvan Drive is dedicated to their son.
"I think it's a great honor. I appreciate it, the family appreciates it, and my son deserves it,” said Victor Cantelmo Jr.
