The 98-acre park in Roslyn, named after poet and author
Christopher Morley, is packed full of activities and history. His retreat,
called the Knothole, is on site.
There's so much to do at the park. It's the perfect place to
play on the basketball courts. There's also
golf, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and you can even
play chess - but be sure to bring your own equipment.
And if the weather is not cooperating, be sure to make a
reservation to play tennis indoors.
For the little ones, there's a big playground. And for the
fur babies, a dog run.
You could also walk your dog on a leash on the walking trail
- it’s paved the whole way, so it’s great for strollers too.
For more of a challenge, hit the exercise stations.
The most popular thing to do at the park this winter is ice
skating. You need a reservation, and right now it’s for Nassau County residents
only.
