U.S. health advisers endorsed use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in kids as young as 12 on Wednesday.
Dr. John Zaso, a pediatrician in East Meadow, says the mass vaccination sites like Jones Beach should be the first place to bring your children since those sites are mostly supplied with Pfizer shots.
Zaso says doctor's offices like his are currently stocked with Moderna but will soon be getting Pfizer.
"The state is breaking it down to 200 aliquots, so what happens is most doctors' offices that are registered will be able to get the Pfizer and start giving it to their private patients," says Zaso.
A spokesperson for the state Health Department says full authorization to vaccinate 12 to 15-year-olds could happen as early as Thursday.
