A family is Dix Hills is grieving after their only child was killed in a plane accident in Australia over the weekend.

William Jennings, 22, was in a turbo prop plan surveying and mapping wildfires when the plane crashed, killing Jennings and two others.

His parents say Jennings was an avid outdoorsman, loved photography and playing the saxophone.

Jennings graduated in May from Northeastern University.

“Just hoping for his return to us, as soon as possible so that we can honor him and give him a proper burial,” says Joseph and Denise Jennings. “There’s a lot of people who want to say goodbye to him.”

The family is in need of help with expenses to bring their son’s body home. If you would like to help, they have set up a GoFundMe.
