Some more opportunities for outdoor fun in the sun have opened up at the Jones Beach boardwalk.
The revamped West Games area features cornhole and pickleball. It joins classics like mini-golf and shuffleboard, both of which have seen upgrades.
There are also new benches, tables and lighting as part of the multimillion-dollar Jones Beach improvement project.

"That lovely old-style stuff that was in this park for a long time is back and brought out. And it's gleaming and beautiful," says Erik Kulleseid, state parks commissioner.
The park is taking added safety precautions, including hand sanitizers throughout the area.
Equipment will be sanitized after each use, and masks are encouraged when social distancing isn't possible.
