Jewish community commemorates release of 24 hostages by Hamas

A total of 50 women and children are expected to be released by Hamas, including three Americans. 150 Palestinian woman and children will be released from Israeli jails.

Members of Long Island’s Jewish community gathered in Plainview Friday afternoon to mark the release of 24 hostages by Hamas.

Thirty-nine Palestinian prisoners were set free in exchange.

The deal coming as part of a four-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. A total of 50 women and children are expected to be released by Hamas, including three Americans. 150 Palestinian woman and children will be released from Israeli jails.

Today dozens gathered outside the Mid Island Y-JCC in Plainview to commemorate the release of the hostages and pray for those still being held captive.
