Cedar Grove Elementary School in Toms River looks as good at the end of the year as it did at the beginning.

It's all thanks to student volunteers who were busy outside touching up the bushes, shrubs and plants around the school.

The money to do it came from the Patrick Romano Jr Scholarship Fund.

Romano died four years ago while he was in college. He went to Cedar Grove Elementary in 2009.

The scholarship fund has several community-related events throughout the year.
