The town of Mount Laurel is looking better thanks to a group of students from Lenape High School who volunteered their time to help clean up the community.

The teens spread across town for a day of spring-cleaning to make the town look its best.

The cleanup has become a yearly tradition led by Mount Laurel Police Officer Derrick Riker. For the past five years, he has organized the event and encouraged students to volunteer their time.

By the end of the day, the back of a pickup truck was filled with bags of trash collected from around town, proof that a small group of volunteers can make a big difference.
