An SUV crashed into an elementary school Sunday night in East Williston.

Nassau police say a westbound Jeep hit the North Side School around 6:15 p.m.

Detectives say the 77-year-old driver had a medical episode and went off the road.

The driver was taken to the hospital.

Video sent to News 12 by a viewer and another by sources shows a car having gone through the building's window.

The Nassau Fire Marshal's Office says their crews also responded to the scene.

The East Williston Union Free School District released a statement about the incident. It reads, “The East Williston Union Free School District can confirm that there was an accident at North Side School. Thank you to Nassau County Police for their help. At this time, the district is assessing any impact to school property. We hope everyone involved in the accident is safe. The district does not have any additional information at this time.”
