The Islanders are looking to shake off that 8-0 loss to Tampa Bay heading into Game 6 on home ice.
The Isles trail 3-2 in the semifinals and must win Wednesday at the Coliseum to stay alive in the series.
"We know we are a good team," says Casey Cizikas. "It doesn't matter what anyone in the outside world says. We know we are a good team, and we believe in each other."
Coach Barry Trotz also believes the team can bounce back.
"The stuff we did last night was very correctable. It was turnovers," says Trotz. "Hopefully, it's only a 24-hour thing, just like a 24-hour flu. We can get over it and move on."
Good news for the Isles is that Mat Barzal was not suspended for the cross check on Jan Rutta so he will be able to play in Game 6.
The puck drops at 8 p.m. at the Coliseum.
