The Islanders communications director told News 12 that over $150,000 was raised, adding that it was a record.
Members of the Tunnel To Towers Foundation were at the event to help raise money.
"When you see a tragedy in your area, it's always nice to see what comes alongside with that, which is the community rallying together to support someone," said Matthew Memoli, of the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
"I can't imagine what the family is going through, and we need to all rally behind them, and show them that they're never alone, and we will always be with them," said Islanders fan Joan Eiler.
The fundraiser was all part of the Islanders annual First Responders Night.
