Investigators: Man involved in Sunrise Highway brawl hit cousin with beer bottles at Centereach restaurant days before fight

On the day of the Sunrise Highway brawl, investigators say Patrick O'Connor and his cousin saw each other in Hauppauge. The cousin then allegedly followed O'Connor in his car before the brawl ensued in North Lindenhurst.

A public family brawl that broke out on Sunrise Highway on Dec. 20 actually began days before a fight that was caught on video.
Investigators say Patrick O'Connor attempted to hit his cousin with beer bottles at a Centereach restaurant on Dec. 17.
On the day of the Sunrise Highway brawl, investigators say O'Connor and that cousin saw each other in Hauppauge. The cousin then allegedly followed O'Connor in his car before the brawl ensued in North Lindenhurst.
O'Connor, his 19-year-old son James and a minor face nine total charges, including assault.
Three minors were in the son's vehicle, which he used to ram their cousin's SUV.
None of the children were injured.
