News 12 got a sneak peek inside the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame ahead of its grand opening.
The facility is filled with memorabilia from musicians and entertainers who are from Long Island or made the area their home.
Items from stars such as Joan Jett, Billy Joel, Harry Chapin, Run D.M.C. and Twisted Sister will be on display.
There are also exhibits, like a replica of a stage from the 1970s, clothes from some of the performers and iconic items that show Long Island's music and entertainment history through the decades.
Chairman Ernie Canadeo says it's a culmination of everyone's dream and exciting for Long Island.
"It really is amazing so it's great to come in and see all the Twisted Sister memorabilia but really what's getting me is watching the people being so excited about what's going on here," says Mark Mendoza, of Twisted Sister.
The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame will open to the public on Friday.
