More than 100 incoming freshmen from Fordham University are connecting with each other through nature.
The students are creating a garden dedicated to pollinators through the university's Urban Plunge program. The goal is to attract bees, butterflies and even bats to help pollinate the flowers and vegetables in the garden.
Urban Plunge is an orientation offered to incoming students every year to connect them with their Bronx neighbors through hands-on work in the community.
