A Levittown woman says neighborhood pranks are getting out of control and are flat out harassment.
Susan Marchall says some teens are making her life in the neighborhood unbearable and she wants it to stop.
Marchall says she's harassed by fireworks, loud banging on the door in the middle of the night, by eggs thrown at the house and even on her.
"Getting woken up at 12:30-1 a.m. in the morning, that is scary. You don't know if someone breaking into your house," Marchall says.
Marchall says the harassment by some teens has been escalating against her and her husband for the last year and a half. She says two to three times a month in the summer, a teen or group of teens has done something to the house. Marchall is a cancer patient and says she can't understand why she's being targeted. Neither do some neighbors.
"I hope they cut it out. Yeah, if they come over here, it won't be allowed," says resident Felix Perez.
Marchall says she has filed police reports, but little has been done. She also believes the teens may be targeting other homes in Levittown. However, neighbors whom News 12 Long Island spoke with say it's not happening to them.
Either way, Marchall says she wants the harassment to stop and is concerned for her safety.
"I can't even sleep at night. I am a wreck. I'm sick. I don't need more," she says.
Marchall says she's asked around to see if anyone knows the teens in who were caught on video but no one can identify them, so she doesn't think they live close by.
News 12 Long Island asked Nassau police for some information about the harassment. They say they have been to the house several times and are investigating the incidents.
They also say they're increasing patrols in the area and are asking anyone who may have tips to give them a call.
