Police say a shooting was reported early Saturday morning at a Huntington Station bar with a violent history.
Authorities say there was no injuries at Melissa Tavern on New York Avenue. There were no arrests.
Residents say the bar has a history of stabbings and shootings. Huntington Town Councilman Mark Cuthbertson says it's been an issue for decades and wants the New York State Liquor Authority to revoke its liquor license. He says it is looking into his request.
News 12 Long Island reached out to the New York State Liquor Authority for comment, but did not hear back.
Melissa Tavern owners did not answer a call to comment on this story.
