A Huntington native is starring in highly anticipated film "The King of Staten Island," which was originally meant for theaters but debuted on demand.
Alexis Forlenza, 8, says she used to love to sing and dance around her living room, and now, she's in a movie.
The film stars comedian Pete Davidson and is loosely based on his life. It was also directed by Syosset native Judd Appatow.
Forlenza studies acting at From Stage to Screen in Huntington, and landed the role following her first-ever professional audition.
She says Davidson offered her $5 to do a scene in one take, and that he was funny.
