Food service facilities at Nassau Community College abruptly closed their doors on Tuesday, leaving students with few options for meals on campus.
Students were alerted of the change in a message on Saturday, giving them only a few days to prepare.
The sudden shutdown happened after the vendor overseeing the eateries, including the on-campus Starbucks, decided to halt operations at the college.
Nassau Community College administrators are searching for a new vendor, and exploring the possibility of bringing in food trucks to feed hungry students.
Currently, the school's
website has a list of where students can find snacks and beverages.
