Hundreds of runners take part in Long Island Marathon at Eisenhower Park

Racers took off from Eisenhower Park this morning for the 26.2-mile course.

Runners pounded the pavement Sunday morning for the Long Island Marathon. 
Racers took off from Eisenhower Park for the 26.2-mile course.
Westhampton's Jordan Daniel took first place for men. The 28-year-old runner finished the marathon in roughly 2 hours and 21 minutes, recording a 5-minute 23-second mile.
Westchester County native Jennifer Zopp, 38, came in first place for women. She ran the race in 3 hours 9 minutes and 33 seconds. That makes her pace 7 minutes and 11 seconds per mile.
