House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is joining the tax debate underway in Washington this week,
The Brooklyn Democrat used his weekly briefing Wednesday afternoon to push for SALT tax reform, the $10,000 cap enacted in 2017 that has disproportionately impacted voters across the tri-state.
"House Democrats will work with any serious-minded individuals to fully restore the state and local tax deduction in order to help working families and the middle class," said Jeffries.
House Republicans, including Mike Lawler are heading to Mar-a-Lago this weekend to discuss Donald Trump's economic agenda.
News 12 was told that the SALT tax will play a big part of those conversations.
