TROPICS: Watching Hurricane Lee. The storm will pass east of Long Island late next week with coastal effects. So far, models are in good agreement the storm passes east of Cape Cod.

Hurricane Lee intensified from a Category 1 to Category 5 in 12 hours. That is the second-biggest rapid intensification on record. It will safely stay north of the Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hispanola. Click here for more information on the storm.
