Hopper lives!
The “Stranger Things 4” trailer that dropped today was the Valentine’s Day gift fans across the globe didn’t know they were getting but are sure to love.
There isn’t much to the 50-second spot. In the blustery, snow-covered hilltops of Russia, sentries are patrolling and dogs are barking – keeping dozens of men pounding spikes into a frozen railroad track at bay.
The music swells and we see Jim Hopper, the chief of police in Hawkins, Indiana (played by David Harbour) wiping sweat from his brow.
SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN SEASON 3!
FINAL WARNING...
But didn’t Hopper sacrifice himself to close the rift in the upside down? Why would the Duffer Brothers kill off arguably their most popular character?
It turns out they wouldn’t and the explanation as to how he is still alive and building railroads in Russia is enough to get me to tune into season 4.
