A Holtsville man charged in a fatal hit-and-run is out on bail after being arraigned on Wednesday.

Steven Syrop was indicted for leaving the scene of an accident on Ocean Avenue in Holtsville.

Syrop turned himself into authorities in July, which is two months after prosecutors say he struck and killed Jennifer Bianco
