A Hofstra University professor won an age discrimination lawsuit against the school.
An attorney for Arthur Dobrin tells News 12 the lawsuit was filed at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
The lawsuit claims the university refused to let the 77-year-old teach remotely to avoid catching the virus.
According to court documents, Dobrin had a letter from his doctor.
Federal prosecutors say Hofstra violated a federal age discrimination law by refusing to let the professor of 30 years' work from home.
Hofstra did not return News 12's calls for comment.
