Hip-hop heavyweights descended upon the Hamptons to attend music mogul Russell Simmons' Art for Life fundraiser in Bridgehampton.

Considered one of the biggest bashes of the summer in the Hamptons, celebrities such as Michael Strahan and Anthony Anderson were on hand. Rapper Rick Ross, singer/songwriter Estelle and Maxell performed for the crowd all out to support art education.

The night featured an auction, with all proceeds going to Simmons' Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. "We underwrite education for inner-city kids and it's important that kids promote or use their creative muscles," Simmons says.

This was the 14 annual gala. Foundation officials say the programs directly serve 2,500 kids annually.
