HOT WEATHER: Islip Airport could hit 90 degrees for the first time this year and that would make it the hottest so far. Since the humidity is still low, the heat is just below advisory criteria.
Hot, sunny weather for Wednesday. Humidity is on the rise for Thursday with scattered showers and storms returning to the forecast from Thursday night through Sunday. Temperatures will be above normal with daytime highs in the mid to upper 80s.
