The arrest of suspected serial killer Rex Heuermann has renewed hope for a Canadian mother who has spent nearly two decades searching for her missing daughter.
Glendene Grant has been looking for her second oldest child, Jessie Foster, since March 2006.
The 21-year-old Canadian woman's mom says Foster was sexually trafficked throughout New York and New Jersey and then ultimately lured to Las Vegas, where she was last seen alive following several prostitution arrests.
The arrest of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann has brought her daughter's cold case back into focus, as police agencies in three states hunt for more possible victims.
Foster was one of five escorts in the Las Vegas area between the ages of 18 and 25 who all shared the same fate - either dead or missing between 2003 and 2006 under similar circumstances.
Four of them were dumped off remote roadways, and some members of law enforcement believe they could have been killed by the same person.
Property records place Heuermann in the Las Vegas area through the ownership of two timeshares that date back to 2004.
News 12 also received victims' autopsy reports through a Freedom of Information request and compared them to records the Turn To Tara team obtained for the Gilgo Beach victims.
They show Victoria Camara's death was the result of strangulation, just like the Gilgo Four. The severed legs of another young victim, Lindsay Marie Harris, were discovered in similar circumstances to Fire Island Jane Doe 7, identified just last week as Karen Vergata.
Harris' dismembered body was found in Springfield, Illinois, a location mentioned on page 17 of Heuermann's bail application. It states the alleged serial killer set up a Tinder account using the email Springfieldman.
Jessie's mother says she sees striking similarities between Harris, her daughter and the other escorts slain on Long Island.
"I think she looks quite a lot like Megan Waterman, the beautiful blonde hair," she says.

Grant says whether or not Heuermann killed her daughter, she is grateful to have the cold case back in the spotlight.
