A Hempstead man is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase from Nassau to Suffolk following a road-rage incident.

State troopers say Armondo Carcamo-Rivera was high on drugs when he rammed his Toyota Tundra into the back of an Audi near Exit M-8 on the Meadowbrook Parkway Wednesday night.

They say the 41-year-old's truck got stuck in the bumper of the car, but Carcamo-Rivera refused to stop.

Officials say Carcamo-Rivera then took off, but came back and hit the Audi again.

News 12 is told that he even stopped at one point and then backed into a parks police vehicle before taking off again.

Police eventually arrested Carcamo-Rivera when his truck broke down on Howells Road in Bay Shore.
