Helen Keller students celebrate end of pre-K

Pre-schoolers at the Helen Keller Services for the Blind Children's Learning Center celebrated at their graduation ceremony Friday.
Parents of the 15 students say the day was emotional and well-deserved. Katrina Wilkins says seeing her son in a cap and gown was poignant. Wilkins say her son was born without any mobile capabilities and couldn't speak. She says he has flourished at Helen Keller and can now walk, and he is even slowly beginning to speak.
The principal says some of the students come to the school at 12 months old, and some are totally blind. Parents say they are so thankful for the staff at the school.
The students performed songs and played instruments during the ceremony to show how all of their hard work has paid off.
