A Glen Cove neighborhood was dealing with flooding Sunday night after torrential downpours made their way throughout Long Island.

Video taken on Woolsey Avenue shows residents clearing storm drains. A homeowner was observed with a flash light in his mouth while using a rake to try and break up the leaves.

Another resident's backyard almost looked like a lake.

Neighbors told News 12 they are very frustrated to experience constant flooding.

"People stay up this late to try and protect their homes. We have to wake up for work. It's rough. It shouldn't be like this," said Ethan Nelbinger.

News 12 reached out to the mayor of Glen Cove earlier in the night to see what preparations would be underway. She said crews would be ready to go "if need be."
