Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says New York City officially hit a heat wave as of 11:51 a.m. More heat and humidity will stick around through the end of the workweek with thunderstorms possible as well.
A heat advisory continues for New York City through 8 p.m. Friday. While air temperatures will be below 90 tomorrow, the high humidity will make it dangerously hot again with feels-like temps near 95.
TONIGHT: An isolated thunderstorm through 9 p.m. then partly cloudy and humid. Lows down to 76.
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy, hot and humid. Highs up to 87. Feels like 95+. Scattered thunderstorms likely between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Lows down to 74.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy and unsettled. Scattered showers and storms possible, especially during the afternoon. It's not a washout, but best to move plans inside. Highs around 84. Lows down to 72.
SUNDAY: A few more scattered showers possible. Highs only around 80. Lows near 70.
MONDAY: Clearing out with some sunshine, but a few isolated showers are still possible. Cooler. Highs near 79. Lows down to 66.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with a chance for a lingering shower or two. Highs near 78. Lows down to 63.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. An isolated shower can't be ruled out. Highs only around 75. Lows near 62.
