‘He wasn’t aware of the eyes up above.’ Police drone helps catch Lindenhurst home burglary suspect

Police caught a home burglary suspect with the help of drone technology in Lindenhurst.
The incident began on Monday after officers responded to a 911 call reporting an incident on Richmond Avenue around 7 p.m.
Police deployed a drone to assist in the search.
Detectives operating the drone were able to direct officers to the suspect’s location using information from witnesses.
Isaias Miranda, 26, was apprehended around 7:45 p.m. on Kings Avenue.
Police say he is charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.

“A burglar may have thought he was in the clear after fleeing from a Lindenhurst home earlier this week, but he wasn't aware of the eyes up above,” said police in a post on Facebook.
