Tall ships from around the world set to arrive in New York Harbor for America’s 250th

Suffolk County officials held an event in Hauppauge Saturday to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

Hundreds of Vietnam War veterans attended the event that included live performances and food trucks for veterans, friends and family.

Veterans also shared stories with some younger people of their time in the service.

The event also featured a temporary museum that showcases artifacts from the Vietnam War era. The museum will be open until April 4.
