Excitement on the East End continued Wednesday afternoon.
It was day four of the Hamptons Classic Horse Show.
News 12’s John Dowding was in Bridgehampton with the latest.
News 12 checked out all the fun and food attendees can enjoy at the Hamptons Classic as the competition goes on.
Local businesses, like Montauk Tackle Company, are on display for customers to check out. Co-owner Lauren Brasco says it’s a great opportunity for their small business to expand.
"We're Long Island-based,” she said. "So something like this (...) It's been very good to us. It's a good community. And people want to support local which is very important to us."
Make sure to grab this year's hottest gear at the souvenir shop. Manager Oke Akpoforayen says all the money spent there goes right back to organizations on the East End doing some good.
"All the profits from here go to other charities, including the Southampton Hospital,” she said. “Also if you don't come early, you will not see these things. They will not be here by the weekend."
Horses aren't the only animals at the show. The East End's only wildlife hospital, the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Center, hopes to educate the community on how to coexist with our wildlife neighbors.
"They know about horses. They come to see the horses, but they don't really know about all the other animals that exist here,” said Jane Gill, one of the volunteers.
