A Greenwich High School math teacher is placed on leave after a former student filed a sexual abuse lawsuit.
Joseph Perlman was placed on leave Wednesday, according to officials.
The victim says Perlman engaged in grooming and sexual behavior when he was 13-years-old.
He is also suing the Rye Neck Union Free Schools District and officials with the Board of Education for failing to act on abuse.
Perlman was hired in 2023.
