Greenpoint riders tell News 12 there are not enough CitiBike dock stations in their neighborhood.

“It’s just always full, there’s never space," said Michael Flemming, a Crown Heights resident who works in Greenpoint.

Riders say it can take up to an hour to find an empty dock to return a bike.

“I know people get really aggressive over a CitiBike dock on the days you cannot find one," said Mitsy, a Greenpoint resident.

This comes as the MTA says service issues with the G line will continue throughout June, leaving those traveling to and from Queens to Brooklyn without many options.

“They need to keep adding docks over the years, over the decades," said Mitsy.

Councilman Lincoln Ressler says he's been in contact with Lyft about residents' concerns.

“I’m in communication with Lyft about the chronic lack of Citi Bike dock availability in Greenpoint. The company says it has increased its rebalancing capacity by 20% since Sunday in response to the recent docking capacity issues, and is hiring more staff to redistribute bikes. With the extensive G train closures, we’re relying on Citi Bike more than ever to get to and from Greenpoint,” the councilman wrote.

A spokesperson for the city's Department of Transportation says they are continuing to add bike share capacity to the system's highest demand areas, including additional stations and expanding existing stations.

Residents can provide feedback for station locations here.
