Gigi's Playhouse is an organization that helps spread awareness about Down syndrome while offering kids free therapeutic, educational programs.
Amanda Woods, of Gigi's Playhouse Long Island, says parents can come to the program while pregnant or once their babies are born. Woods says they can come and feel safe and know everything is going to be OK.
Another part of the mission of Gigi's Playhouse is to spread global awareness about Down syndrome. They want to show people that the kids can do things like everyone else except it takes a little more time.
Woods says the program aims to bring joy and happiness to families and bring them together with other families.
