A Long Islander is now at the center of a very popular rock party on Broadway.

"Rock of Ages" star Genson Blimline, of Miller Place, gave News 12 Long Island's Elisa DiStefano a sneak peak backstage at the hit Broadway show.

Blimline plays Lonny, the narrator of "Rock of Ages," which is set on the Sunset Strip in the late 1980s.

"I'm kind of disgusting in many ways, I don't really have a great filter," Blimline says of his character.

Because there are so many Long Islanders who go to see the show, there is now a "Rock of Ages" party bus that will take you not only on a ride from Long Island to New York City, but on a journey back in time.
