Funeral held for Phillies minor league player from Greenlawn who died of cancer
Funeral services were held for
minor league pitcher Corey Phelan.
The Greenlawn native died from cancer last week.
The Harborfields
High School graduate was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma this past April.
The
diagnosis came two years after he signed with the Phillies as an undrafted free
agent.
Phelan's funeral was held at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen
of Martyrs Church in Centerport.
