An Oyster Bay man affectionately known by the community as "The Can Man" is on the mend.
John Ranaldo's leg surgery went extremely well Monday, according to the organizer of a fundraiser started to help Ranaldo after he was hit by a car.
Ranaldo is known across Oyster Bay for keeping the area clean.
The fundraiser for him has raised over $16,000 so far.
