It was hard for me to get out of bed this morning because I just knew it was so, yeah, it's another cold morning. Temperatures are a little bit of below average, but it's that wind. You can hear the wind rattling the windows a little bit still gusting close to 30 MPH at times and our air temperatures are in the twenties, typical, average low now is 34 degrees. Good morning. Our friends in Riverhead are at 27. You're at 27 right now in Rocky Point, starting off this morning. 29 in Bay Shore 27 from Hempstead, the Valley Stream 28 degrees right now in Glen Cove and 34 currently in Montauk. When you factor in that wind 1020 up to around 30 MPH at times, it feels like 17 from Hempstead to Uniondale 19 Glen Cove 20 in Smithtown 20 we had 25 over towards Montauk. So it's a cold start your morning around s at four today. Lots of sunshine this morning. Some clouds come in during the afternoon and temperatures only in the upper thirties. That's it. It's a cold day here on Long Island. Typical, average high for today is 49 degrees. So 10 degrees below average sunshine this morning, you'll notice a few clouds coming in during your afternoon but otherwise dry conditions. A big story. Everyone's talking about the cold weather, stay warm today. How about the gloves, the hat and a scarf. If you're going to be outside for a prolonged period of time, we have a hyperlocal high of around 39 degrees breezy and cold sunshine with a few clouds coming in during your afternoon hours. Now, we've been dry and cold and the next change comes in during late Friday and through Friday night, we are tracking some wet weather. It will become warmer, but we're going to be looking at some rain on our doorstep. So, going throughout our afternoon, temperatures are in the thirties. It is cold. A few clouds dry for the evening rush hour, dry for the morning rush hour into your Thursday. A little bit warmer weather. Temperatures in the twenties to start today, mid and upper forties for your Thursday afternoon before we track that rain going towards Friday evening and it's gone by your Saturday. All right, recapping today. Highs are in the upper thirties, sun and clouds, breezy and cold weather conditions bundle up more cold weather tonight. Low temperatures in the twenties and take a look at extended forecast. Watching the sunshine, warmer weather.
