A proposal to build a medical facility on Sunrise Highway has some Rockville Centre residents worried.
Dozens packed a Village Zoning Board of Appeals meeting Wednesday night over a proposal to build a medical facility on Sunrise Highway.
The board weighed in on a plan for a three-story facility that would house medical practices.
Residents, like Beth Knipfing say the village already has enough traffic problems.
"It's not for Rockville Centre and the traffic on Sunrise Highway will be out of control,” she said. “It will just be terrible."
Representatives for the developers declined to speak with News 12 on camera about the community's concerns prior to the meeting.
The Rockville Centre Zoning Board of Appeals tabled the decision at the end of the night. It will be revisited on September 11 during the board’s next regular meeting.
