From pots to chandeliers: Chateau Briand holds public auction

Hundreds of people came out Monday to try and grab a piece of nostalgia from a popular Carle Place banquet hall that closed.
Chateau Briand held a live public auction with thousands of items like kitchen equipment, stairway bannisters and chandeliers up for sale.
The catering hall closed after decades on Long Island in December 2022.
